Real-world impact

About the

We aim to develop, implement, evaluate and communicate research that has a direct and meaningful impact on community health and wellbeing by addressing real world problems.

We do this through:

Consumer driven research

  • Finding out what health and nutrition related problems are important to people through our institute consumer engagement process
  • Involving consumer representatives at every stage of our research, from conceiving of ideas through to translation of evidence into practice

Public engagement

  • Connecting with the community to share our research and help people understand how it links to their lives.

Influencing systems change

  • Conducting research aimed to inform evidence-based health guidelines and policies
  • Collaborating with external agencies to embed our research experts on policy development initiatives, advisory panels and working groups
