ANALYSING PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION ACROSS DISTRICTS – A QUALITATIVE STUDY OF A NATIONAL FALLS PREVENTION INITIATIVE FOR OLDER PEOPLE IN NEW ZEALAND
This study offers a comparative evaluation of the New Zealand Falls and Fracture Prevention Programme across four districts, highlighting how variations in implementation of its three core components influence service delivery and outcomes. By identifying key success factors and challenges, particularly around funding and sustainability, the study provides valuable insights into the organisational and inter-organisational dynamics of whole-system falls prevention. These findings can inform future research, guide practical improvements, and support policy development to enhance long-term, population-based strategies for reducing falls among older adults.
