Investing in your bones: supporting lifelong health and performance

The Bone and Joint Health Project of Western Australia is a collaboration between ECU, its funding partner Arthritis and Osteoporosis WA Foundation (AOWA) and Singular Health Group (SHG), to design, implement and evaluate pedagogically-sound, curriculum-aligned, digitally immersive educational resources to improve bone and joint health awareness and initiatives amongst youth.

Getting to the heart of healthy aging: a behaviour change program to promote dietary pattern changes

A pragmatic, 12-month
randomised controlled clinical trial will evaluate the impact of a behaviour change program on factors related to
improved cognitive, cardiovascular and avoidance of falls outcomes.

The nitrate debate: does dietary source determine health impact?

Nitrate could be a friend or a foe depending on what source it comes from. The major sources of nitrate are vegetables, meat, and drinking water. Our research will determine in what context nitrate is beneficial (protects against debilitating diseases) or causes harm (increases risk of cancer).
